At an election of the Congregation Decr 4 AD 1852 Stephen Webb and William D Harbord were Elected Trustees of the Meeting House to fill the vacancies occasioned by the Death of Francis J Johnson and Removal of Benjamin F Martin. George M Hinshaw being one of the original Trustees President At an Election held by the Congregation on the 7th day of April 1864 Bro Abram Enlow was duly elected Trustee of the Meeting House to fill the vacancy occasioned by the death of Bro William D Harbord President

At a Business meeting of the congregation The meeting was organized by appointing John Ross chairman and James M Ward secretary. Business as follows: 1st Treasurers Report
On motion of Bro R. Munsell the treasurers report was recieved. Move by Bro J M Ward that the clerk of the congregation be authorized to purchas a a Blank Book of the meetings also the Recipts and expenditures of the congregation. Bro Crewson moved that we have preaching Four times per month. one to be disonturned at the discretion of the Committee appointed to procure Preachers all of which was adopted. Moved by Bro J B Warlow that Bro J W Owen be employed to preach 2 Lords days in each month to preach and 2 Lords days to be occupied by Bro P Schick. amended by substituting Bro John G Campbell one Lords day in Each month all of which was adopted Moved by Bro G M Hinshaw that we obtain the Funds to defray the expenses of the current year by subscription to be presented to Each Bro and Sister of the Congregation which was adopted John Ross Chairman James M Ward Clk
Resolved that the Clerk be requested to Report Annually the number of Members Belonging to the Congregation the No of Males and the number of Females, the number of additions, the number that has been Excluded, the number that has been dismissed by letter and the amount of money that has been collected for all purposes and Said Report be entered in full on the Church Book
Wheras certain Elders and Brethren of Church of Christ at Twin Grove McLean County State of Illinois have refered to the undersigned a question touching the reception of a member (a woman) into Said Church who had been (Immersed) Baptised by a Mormon preacher and also touching certain words used by one Brother Ross on Said occasion. be it known unto all reading these presents that the following is our deliberat judgement based upon the Mutual Statements and testimony offered in our presence. 1st We are of the Opinion that no immersion into the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit upon a confession of the faith that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God can be considered invalid because the administrator may have been an imposter. 2nd We are of the opinion that inasmuch as the member in question distinctly disavowed any acceptance of the Mormon faith and accepted only the Faith in Christ, She Should have been received, provided of corse She possessed a good character. 3rd We are of the opinion that the low gaugs of Bro Ross upon the Said occasion was unnecessary namely that he should tell other churches when they asked him that Said Twin Grove Church indorsed Mormonism inasmuch as the case in hand disavowed Such Faith 4th We are of the opinion that any immersion into a fals Faith is equivalent to no immersion because not Christian and in such a case Baptism should proceed as if none had taken place previously George McManis Committee Will Irwin J B McCorkle O. A. Burgess Bloomington Illinois Sep' 4 1863 Twin Grove Apl 7th 1864 Church met between the hours of two and Three Oclk and organized by electing Bro G. M Hinshaw chairman. The clerk of the congregation as Secretary. Proceeded to attend to cases of disipline. 2nd Proceeded to the Election of one trustee to fill the vacancy occasioned by the death of Bro Wm D. Harbord. Moved that Said Election be by acclamation. Carried on motion of Bro R Munsell. Bro Abram Enlow was duly Elected Trustee of Said Church Building. On motion of Bro J M Ward we proceeded to make assignments for building a New Meeting House. Moved by Bro Crewson that a Building committee of five be Elected which motion carried. Moved by Bro Crewson that Said Committee be Elected by the church which motion carried and the following Brethren were Elected Said Building Committee Geo M Hinshaw, J M Ward, A Harrison, R Munsell, and John W Johnson. On motion of Bro Crewson the committee was instructed to proceed with the building as they see proper and the Church will sustain them; carried. Bro Crewson moved that the committee have full control of the Old Building to dispose of or use in the erection of a New one as they may choose; carried.
Resolved that the congregation is offended at Bro Ross in not abiding the decission of a certain committee composed of Bro McManis, Irwin, McCorkle, and Burgess in a certain matter in hand given to them for adjustment.

The Church met at the appointed hour to attend to the pecuniary affairs of the same. Organized by appointing Bro R Munsell Chairman and J M Ward clk Opened by Reading and Prayer by the clerk. Order of Business:

The congregation Met according to appointment to attend to their proper business affairs. With bro Samuel Hay in the chair. First, report of the committy for repairing house 1st bro J. F. Webb's report made & received. Second bro' G. M. Hinshaw's report made & accepted. Third, bro' J. F. Webb was ordered to collect & Hold the balance on the subscription for repair on the house. 4th That the com' on repairs use the money not expended on haus to the best of their judgement in further repairs. 5th Moved & carried that the chair appoint two brethren to collect the amounts unpaid for preaching. J. F. Webb & Emery Pery were appointed. 6th Moved & caried that bro' S. Hay correspond with J. W. Perkins first to hold a protracted meeting some time in Dec' & if he cannot be got to correspond with A. E. Elmore & get him if we can. Adjourned Dec the 28, 1882 The con Met according to appointment with bro S. Hay in the chair. First Sec report of last meeting viz (Sept 29, 1882) read & accepted. Second bro' J. F. Webb Reported on repairs made & accepted. 3rd Treasurer's report made & accepted. 4th Moved & caried that bro' E. Munsell be released from the treasurer's office & that bro Music act in his stead. 5th Moved & seconded & caried that we raise means the ensuing year by subscription. Next adjourned Motioned & caried that bro' Minier be employed to preach for us one half the time at $200 per anum.
Decr the 21st 1883 A meeting of the brethren at Twingrove McLean Co, Ill. Met according to appointment with bro' J. W. Johnson in the chair. 1st the Sect' report of last year's meeting read & accepted. Second the treasurers report made & accepted. 3rd Moved & carried that the names of those that subscribed last year be read 4th Moved & carried that 3 brethren viz, John Pery, E. Munsell, J. W. Hill to to collect the sub's for 1883. & 2 5th Moved & caried that the trustees have the house insured against fire & lightning. 6th moved & caried that we have preaching one half the time. 7th Moved & caried that we raise funds by contribution & subscription. 8th Move & caried that a com' of three be appointed to confer with preaching brethren to learn who can be had & what rate to preach nex year. bro' G. M. Hinshaw, E. Munsell & S. Hay were appointed. Moved & caried that we meet 2 weeks from to day adjourned
Twingrove McLean Co Ill Jan 4 1884 Met according to appointment with bro' F. M. Hall in the chair. First the Sec minutes of last meeting read & approved. 2nd report of the brethren that were appointed to confer with preaching brethren to learn who could be had & on what terms. The report accepted. 3rd Motioned & caried that one of the 4 brethren named, viz L. Stagner H. Vandervede John Linzey & bro E. Stout be chosen to preach 1/2 the time. 4th Motioned & caried that we choose one of their number the brethren above named by ballot. balloted three or 4 times without agreement 5th Moved & caried that we adjourn to meet 1 week from today at 1 Oclock. Met according to appointment with bro F. M. Hall in the chair this 11th day of Jan, 1884. 1st Sect report of last meeting read & approved 2nd proceeded to vote for who should preach for us this year & bro Speed Stagner receiving a majority of all the votes cast will be our preacher employed for 1/2 his time the ensuing year. Meeting adjourned. Dec. the 15 1884 Meeting of the con' of Twingrove McLean Co. Ill. Meeting called to order by appointing S. Hay to the chair. 2 the secretary's report read & receive 3rd Moved & caried that the con' have preaching 1/2 the time, if sufficient means be raised to pay him. 4th the Treasurers report partly made & accepted. 5th moved & caried that we in the first place raise means to pay off the present indebtedness of the con' 6th That the chair appoint a com' to raise the money. The chair appointed F. M. Hall E Munsell C. W. Marlin J. W. Johnson Geo. Myers J. W. Hill Wm Hay 7th Moved & caried that each one that have made a choice of a preacher that they correspond with them. Hinshaw in the chair 1st Moved & caried that C. W. Marlin act as treasurer protem. there were $36 reported paid in. Adjourned Met according to appointment June the 5th 1885 1st Treasurer's report made & accepted. Moved and caried that we have that young bro' from Eureka come & preach. Moved & caried that bro' Y. Z. Webb be appointed to visit each member of the con' with a sub, headed with the $25 promised to rais means to pay the $110 we owe bro' L. Stagner. Hill in the chair First the minutes of the last meeting read & accepted. 2nd the report of our indebtedness made & accepted. 3rd Moved & caried that bro Z. Y. Webb be allowed $7.00 for his servises in raising means to pay off our indebtedness 4th Moved & caried that we allow bro Lorenzo Rockhold's claim. 5th Moved & caried that we have preaching one half the time the next year & that we raise it the money by subscription. Bros E Munsell & Z. Y. Webb were chosen to circulate the subscription papers. Brethren G. M. Hinshaw E. Munsell Geo. Hay & F. M. Hall were chosen to select a preacher for the next year. Bro Ellmore Perry was chosen deacon. Adjourned Dec the 3rd 1886 A meeting at twingrove McLean Co. Ill. to transact business for the ensuing year with bro' S. Hay in the chair. 1st the reading of the minutes of the last meeting read & accepted. Second the treasure's report read & accepted Third moved & caried that we have preacing one half the time the ensuing year. Fourth moved & caried that we raise means by sup' & cont. Fifth that a com' be appointed to circulate the subscription. The com chosen were Sisters M. Hinshaw Sister E. Munsell Sister M F Hall's wife sister J. W. Johnson's wife & sister Laura Johnson the widow. Sixth that a com of 5 bro S. Hay Sister M. Hinshaw bro' F. M. Hall bro J. W. Hill bro Geo. Hay. Meeting called to order by appointing bro' S. Hay to chair. First motioned & carried the com' that was appointed to secure preaching the majority of them agreed to employ brethren J. Linsey & Stout to preach one the time if there are enough means to pay them. Second, that we request bro' Music & wife to make the proper acknowledgements before they get letters of commendation.
Twingrove Ill. Dec the 4th 1887. The board met accoring to appointment with bro' G. M. Hinshaw in the chair. First the minutes of the meeting last held read & approved. Second moved & caried that we hold our yearly meeting next Friday 2 weeks at 10 oclock A M. Third Moved & caried that we invite bro' P. F. York to come next week some time and preach for us one or two meeting in view of employing him to preach for the church the coming year. Adjourned next to meet fourth Lord's day in Jan 1888. Minutes of a meeting conducted by Bro Thomas Munell Evangelist in the Twingrove church from Oct the 29th 87 to Nov 6 87 inclusive. The following work was done & measures taken by the church During the ten meetings of the church. The official board held four Special meetings to consider the wants of the cause in this place & decided first to adopt a financial plan for church expenses that would ask every member for his or her share of the money necessary for the work of the church. This was done and the work put into the hands of the officers to visit all the members individually & ask them if they are willing to pay the sums of money asked of them & report of success to be made to the next meeting of the board. Second the unsettled trouble between the families of bro' Music & Munsell was consider & measures taken that resulted in the settlement of the same & an announcement of the past was made to the church & the case removed from any further [illegible] 3 The board was organized by electing bro Hinshaw Chairman & recognizing bro' W Short secretary & bro E. Munsell treasurer, and decided to hold regular official meetings the first sunday of each month at 3 oclock P.M. with a view to considering all church business in said meetings before bringing any thing before the congregation. 4th All money collected to go into the church treasury to be used for church purposes as may be directed by the church. The treasurer is to pay out no money for any purposes without a written order from the board signed by the secretary. Met according to appointment at the church house in Twingrove McLean Co Ill. for the purpose of transacting the business for the ensuing year with bro S. Hay in the chair.
First the secretary report read & accepted. Second the treasurer's report read & accepted. Third Moved & caried that we pay bro' E. Stout the same we did bro' John Linzey minus his R. B. fare from Eureka to here (Twingrove). Fourth Moved & caried that we have the church house insured and also leave it discretionary with the [illegible] as to the time. Fifth moved & caried that we have preaching one half the time & further that bro' P. Y. York be employed to do it provided satisfactory arrangements be made with him. Sixth moved and caried that bro' J. W. Johnson write to bro' York to learn what is the least he will preach one half the time and hold our protracted meetings. Adjourned Twin Grove, Dec. 3, 1889 1. Meeting called to order with Bro. F. M. Hall in the chair. 2. Minutes of the last meeting read and approved. 3. Treasurer's report read and accepted. 4. Motion by E. M. Munsell that the chair appoint three to collect some money for Bro. York. Bros. Geo. Hay, Wesley Hill, and E. Perry as committee. 5. Motion that Bros. Hay, Munsell, and Hinshaw be as committee to settle with J. W. Johnson, the report and give him. 6. Motion that we have preaching 1/4 of the time. Motion lost. 7. Motion that we have preaching 1/2 of the time. 8. Motion we raise money by subscription and contribution. 9. Bro. E. M. Munsell offered his resignation as Treasurer; accepted and Bro. F. M. Hall put in his stead. 10. Motion that the chair appoint three for seeing with regard to preaching, for the coming year. Brethren W. Short, E. Munsell, and W. Hall as the committee. Motion made and seconded that J. T. Webb, J. W. Hill and S. T. Enlow act as correspondents with ministers to see about preaching. Carried. Motion made and seconded that we raise money by subscription to pay expenses of the church of 1892. Carried. Motion made and seconded that we hold a protracted meeting. Carried. Motion made and seconded that we see Bro. Ingraham about holding said meeting. Carried. Motion made and seconded that J. T. Webb and Eleazer Munsell be promoted [crossed through] chosen to eldership. Carried. Motion made and seconded that J. T. Webb circulated subscription paper and that the church compensate him. Motion made and seconded that if Bro. Munsell cannot raise money to pay for the fence (aroun) that it be paid out of the church fund. Motion made that we adjourn to meet again two weeks from next Wednesday, January 13, 1892 at 10 A.M. Johnson and Hill be instructed to see about a preacher for the next year. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. Upon the motion of Bro. Hill it was voted to pay Sister Johnson $4. per year for taking care of the communion emblems. Upon the motion of Bro. Hill it was voted to have preaching half the time for the next year. The choosing of a preacher for the next year was postponed for the present. Bro James Hill and George H. Simmons chose as deacons for the church. J. W. Johnson Minutes of a meeting held at the Twingrove Christian Church Meeting called to order by Bro Hill who read a chapter after which Bro Johnson led in prayer. Report of treasurer read and upon motion of Bro Johnson adopted. Moved by Bro Simmons that we have preaching half the time carried. Moved by Bro Johnson that Bros Eli Webb James Hall and E. C. Hinshaw correspond with regard to preaching for the next year. Brother George Simmons and E. C. Hinshaw nominated for clerk for the ensuing year. Bro Simmons elected. Bothers Eli Webb and E. C. Hinshaw nominated for treasurer. Bro Webb elected. Motion made by Bro Simmons that the Deacons look after the emblems. Motion carried. Motion by Bro Hinshaw that the sexton of the cemetery be employed to keep the church yard mowed the ensuing year. Payment to be made by the church. Meeting adjourned subject to call of the chairman. For sometime there has been a division on a question of expediency: The question to be decided is: Shall we put an organ in the church to be used in connection with our song services or not?
